The RiverWatch Science Program has the power to change people's understanding of river ecosystems and encourage actions that have a positive effect on the health of rivers.

Change For The Better

By surveying people before and after a RiverWatch Field Trip, it's possible to track any "change for the better" in their knowledge and awareness.

Judging Effectiveness

The surveys are used only to judge the effectiveness of RiverWatch Field Trips. However, some of the questions and some of your answers may start you thinking about changing your personal lifestyle in ways that help take better care of rivers!

Pre and Post Surveys

You're encouraged to take the surveys before your RiverWatch trip - as a pre-trip survey - and then again a week or more after the trip as a post-trip survey.
