i thought i was alot of fun, even though i fell in and im the laughing stock of my class its was still a blast! I learned alot and i would love to go again, but i wouldn't go back to the sewage treatment plant EVER AGAIN!!! it was part of our field trip, we went on river watch then had to go to the sewage trreatment plant afterwards!! but to make a long story short, i really liked it!! Just wanted to tell you the trip this year was fantastic! The guides James and Simon were excellent. The sewage treatment plant tour was also well worth the time. I want to thank you personally for providing this opportunity for my students and others across Alberta. Well done! Champion Teacher 27/11/2002

Sounds like it was a fantastic learning experience! Edmonton Parent 16/11/2002

Thank you for organizing this excellent field trip. Calgary Parent 16/11/2002

The guides and families really enjoyed the experience and want to go again in the spring and plant trees too. Particularly the guides and parents commented on the abilities of your river guides - professionalism, knowledge and fun! The day was well orchestrated/planned and paced with excellent variety and learning and fun. Thanks for a wonderful experience! Girl Guide Leader 06/11/2002

I really enjoyed the differents prospects of the ecosystem, and Simon was really hot. But as i was saying, i learned quite about more about sweage treatment even thought I personally would not like to work there, I solute thos who do! Western Student 29/10/2002

Thank you for the afternoon on the Bow River - we all thoroughly enjoyed the trip. The guide was entertaining and knowledgeable. It was also great to meet other environmentally interested people. Calgary Parent 20/10/2002

My family and I really enjoyed the float. Thank you very much for the opportunity to take part. Although the weather was a bit cool and windy, everyone on the trip seemed to enjoy the day. You have a fine program and Simon did a great job as tour guide. He has clearly had a lot of practice. Calgary Parent 20/10/2002

Everyone reported a great time. We enjoyed Simon very much and thanks for delivering up the great weather. I think we even taught Simon some more bad jokes! None of us had been on that part of the river before so we were unaware of the "escape" it provides right in the middle of the city. I think a trip like that is also great to reinforce in both adults and kids the respect to be shown to the river from a safety point of view as well as environmentally so that when we are walking by the river or canoeing, rafting, etc. on it we will be aware. Thanks again for a great day and please pass our thanks on to simon. Calgary Parent 20/10/2002

A special thanks to Tracy and her team - they were absolutely marvelous and I would appreciate you passing that along to her for me. We intend on doing this again in the spring so as soon as you are ready to take bookings let me know. Edmonton Teacher 20/10/2002

Thank you very much for the excellent field trip. As usual the guides, Tracy and Carolina were exceptional. Their care and attention was greatly appreciated. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you again in the spring. Edmonton Teacher 20/10/2002

We just got back from the trip. It was a little chilly but otherwise fantastic. What a great combination of fun and learning. Simon and all the guides were amazing. Our students really appreciated the day and I think they got good data. We will be following up by trying to enter the data on the website once we get it organized. We will also be doing some analysis of our data. Students will be writing some reports and then maybe doing some educational posters. Thank-you for your continued efforts in running this program. Our students benefit greatly from your time and dedication. Calgary Teacher 20/10/2002

I had a lot of fun and found it quite interesting! I really enjoyed the biological aspect of it with the invertebrates, as well as the tour through the plant. I found it quite surprising that only organic waste is taken care of and that chemicals can get back to the river. I thought the guides were great, and I liked the humor put into the trip. I found the part on digging a hole informative as well, as I do a lot of hiking. Thanx again! The results are very helpful for my project! Western Student 20/10/2002

it was lots of fun. hahaha

It was so much fun. The rafting was the best part, and learning about the Bonnybrook Sewage was cool too! I had a blast! Marinna, Grade 8
