Boats

Motorized boats and seadoos are not allowed on the Bow River in Calgary, but they are allowed on the North Saskatchewan River in Edmonton. What do you think of that?

The river is for all to use. Our river is very different then the Bow in Calgary. If you look at Calgary the topography of their river vally shallow compared to the North Sask River. Calgary also has impacted their river more with industrual operations the Edmonton has with the North Sask. The river is ment to be shared. I personally am an avid paddler and find some moter boat operators abit trouble some but hey they need their ecxperience of the river as well! 27/11/2005

I believe that Calagary made the right decision to forbid the use of motorized watercraft and would like to see the same happen in Edmonton. P.S.Even through this I am still a proud Edmontonian! Josh Andrusiw 11/05/2004

thats not right motorized vehicles ruin the natural beauty by leaking oil and stuff. The North Saskatchewan River should not allow them. Sarah L
