| The South Saskatchewan begins in southern Alberta at the junction of the Oldman and Bow Rivers. Flowing eastward past Medicine Hat, it heads northeast into Saskatchewan, past Saskatoon and on to meet the North Saskatchewan.
From there, the Saskatchewan river flows into Lake Winipeg, and on to Hudson's Bay. |

| Well the bow river connects with the oldman river, that flow out of Lethbridge, to create the South Saskatchewan River just east of Medicine Hat. The Bow does go through several small town like Carsland, Bossano, Bow Island. There is a lot of irrigation in this area and one damn that I know of off hand at Carsland. |
